Résumé of
Nathan Fitzsimmons
Meet Nathan
Nathan is a staff frontend engineer who’s been building web applications for more than twenty years. Models write most of the code now. He decides what they write.
He starts with the people who’ll use the product. He finds the customer problem behind a product request and scopes the project to solving that problem. He talks to backend about shapes and feasibility. He talks to design about interaction and design system holes. He lets product know what’s possible now and what could be possible with some changes. He brainstorms solutions and puts together a proof of concept if it becomes clear that it’s better to show than tell. He demos constantly.
Nathan keeps shipping and nobody ever waits on him.
